Maybe NOW should change their name to THEN
Honestly, this is so dumb. I think a lot of the state NOWs are doing good work, but sometimes it seems like national just picks the most irrelevant thing in the news and decides to latch on to it. If NOW wants to get involved in a sexy Hollywood story, maybe remove a silly rant about consensual relations between adults (I know, I know - they WORKED together; whoever heard of coworkers sleeping together???) from the front page of their website and put up more anti-Polansky rants that we can all get behind.

In the "talking about stuff that doesn't really matter" department, they seem to be taking a page out of PETA's playbook.
Thankfully, they haven't (yet) employed PETA's crazy marketing philosophy, but it's still disheartening to see an organization like NOW become so....crazy.
Which reminds me -- when do you think PETA will put up a totally offensive billboard that likens eating veal to child rape? My guess: as soon as someone suggests it.
Well, they already likened feeding your kids meat to poisoning them...I suppose the veal/child rape comparison isn't a huge leap for them.
It's as if NOW thinks women are weak and can't make decisions for themselves. Letterman obviously must have had forced them to have sex with him!! I mean seriously, women aren't always so saintly either!
I just feel sorry for his wife, I think he's married.
They weren't married when this went down, but they were a couple. I definitely feel bad for her if she didn't know, but there are plenty of couples who have 'understandings' about this kind of thing, so I'm not going to assume either way.
